Detailed description

THE NEW CHALLENGE -For 15 years the different Rotary Clubs of D-3810 ably responded to the challenges of Project L.E.A.R.N.S. It was originally conceived to address the problems of the indigenous peoples of Bgy. Dulangan, Baco, Or. Mdo. Despite the many service projects implemented to alleviate the situation of the Mangyans in this community, still the health and sanitation conditions of this indigenous community persists to be a very big challenge, 20% of the 120 Mangyan families have their own toilets. Health experts tell us that when human waste (feces) is not managed well it causes a great deal of unnecessary sickness and death. Water and food are polluted, germs are all over the soil which lead to diarrhea & other serious health problems like – POLIO! "RESPONSE" Last Dec19, 2019, through the initiative of SDG Ramil Roxas, a group of Champion Presidents shared their time, efforts and resources and enthusiastically responded to the new Challenge of Project LEARNS
