Rotary Fitness Stations

Installation of community fitness stations on the beach front of Torquay

Completed

Detailed description

Planning and development of a project to improve health and well being in the community by installing fitness and exercise stations on a popular walking path along the Torquay foreshore. The project started with an idea of a Rotarian and involved the local Great Ocean Road Coastal Committee (GORCC) who is responsible for the foreshore, all members of the Rotary club over three years in raising the needed funds to pay for and ultimately install the equipment. The Torquay Rotary Club worked closely with GORCC to agree the location of the 4 exercise stations, their construciton and installation.
