The packs contained soap, hand sanitiser, water, bleach, as well as staple foods such as rice, maize flour and beans and directions re making a mask. Also included was information about effective prevention measures and current facts about Covid 19. Students also received study packs full of learning resources and work sheets to ensure no one was left behind as access to computers was non-existent.On hearing this news the Rotary Club of Erina were able to apply for and obtain a matching grant from District 9685 and the Rotary Foundation to the total of $10,000 thus allowing them to purchase 125 packs at a cost of $80 each. This was the greatest undertaking in the history of the school, putting together these packs with the aid of all the staff, planning the 29 routes and using the school buses to deliver the goods criss-crossing Northern Tanzania in just 2 days!
