Detailed description
In accordance with the directive of the RI President Ian Riseley, that every club member should endeavour to plant at least a tree, the Rotary Club of Abuja Life camp embarked on a tree planting campaign in it's adopted school, LEA Primary School Kado-Sabo. LEA Primary School is a densely populated government school in the outskirts of Abuja. The choice of the school was strategic. By planting in the school, there is the assurance that the tree will be watered, tended to and nurtured. Another strategy adopted by the club was to encourage the pupils and their teachers to be a part of the planting, that way they own the project. Also the pupils and teachers were made to adopted a tree and every member was attached to a tree. The essence is for each Rotarian to follow up on their adopted trees and in a future time, the trees will assessed and a possible prize given every tree that is well tended and blossoming. The pupils were excited and participated fully in the planting of the tree
