Rotary Clubs of Oak Ridge & Accra took the challenge "Model Project for Ghana" & utilized GG 1530003 & over $500,000.00 worth of donated medical supplies & medications & contributions to renovate, refurbish & stock the Wurupong Health Post (originally First Aid Station built 1954) where babies are delivered & simple first aid care given by midwives to the standards for a Rural Health Center set by the Regional Directorate! Bore hole dug for running water to clinic & new bathroom. Septic tank dug; 8 flushing toilets, 2 sinks, 2 showers installed. All electrical wiring replaced-existing was fire hazard & new lights inside & out, fans, switches. Roof leaked fixed,all floors concreted then the terrazzo tile placed. Porches repaired & ramp made, New louver windows & screens placed.All walls repaired & painted. Large room remodeled; termites removed. Skertens, corner protectors, exam tables, mattresses, diagnostic & medical supplies & equipment , tables& chairs added.New Medical Records Room
