The Institute for Molecular Medicine of Lisbon and its principal investigator on the project , Dr. Maria Manuel Mota is developing Torins , substances that are not only able to treat Malaria , but also to prevent the development of Plasmodium at the liver stage which is a completely new and innovative approach to the problem ;
Phase I experimentations on mice have already been incredibly successful ; the “IMM”needs to go on with the Phase II experimentations (on Human Beings) , and this needs HELP to purchase equipment that will allow it to accelerate research, shortening it in two or three years. We are talking about many millions of lives !.
