Detailed description
Free mother and child health care treatment was provided by the club to over 120 families including mothers and children. We went to a community in Obio/Akpor in Rivers state Nigeria with a team of our medical and health personnel not without other Rotarians who were on ground to render support to the smooth running of the program. Women and children were tested for several diseases and ailments. Most of the diseases diagnosed were duly treated and drugs administered by our team of pharmacists. Those whose conditions were severe where referred to higher hospitals for further check ups and treatment.
