Detailed description

LittleSun is a social business and global project addressing the need for light in a sustainable way that benefits communities without electricity, creates local jobs, and generates local profits. Establish a joint venture project to create a sustainable micro entrepreneurship program setup in the poor communities of northern Johannesburg, namely Ebony and Ivory Park, Midrand which will address unemployment and will provide safe and reliable lighting solutions to the families and individuals. The Project details; the stakeholders LittleSun and Rotary Club of Kyalami, together have the experience and the know-how in working on social community based projects. We identified 5-10 domestic workers or currently unemployed – “The Sales Agents”. The Sales Agents recieved five Little Sun lamps on credit from Rotary Club of Kyalami. The Sale Agents will then sell the lamps in their communities at a retail price of R130-R150.Once or twice a month, the group of Sales Agents cashes up with RCK.
