Cycling for Autism

A family bicycle event to support autism related services at USF and the CARD Center.

Completed

Detailed description

Autism is something that impacts 1 in 68 children in the United States today. The Center for Autism & Related Disabilities at USF is a community-based project that provides information and consultation to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities. Additionally, we support the Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis program at USF which is designed to meet the growing needs in Florida and nationally for practitioners who can work effectively in the field of developmental disabilities. Over the past several years our Club has raised over $165,000 by putting on this cycling event. The cycling event is for all ages and the distances range from 6 miles to 40 miles. This year it will be along the shores of beautiful Tampa Bay on the dedicated bike lane along the Courtney Campbell Causeway. We will then have a family friendly celebration at the beach at Whiskey Joe's.
