Detailed description

Our member, Rotarian David Lynn, worked alongside a joint team of students, faculty and staff from Charlotte Country Day and a school in Arequipa, Peru, as they installed the final stages of solar panels on the roof of the Charlotte School of Arequipa, Peru. The students installed four panels themselves. They used their remaining time to work with local students, teaching English, exploring technology (the school has a recently donated computer room), taking room efficiency measurements and playing sports. Several of our students who are fluent in Spanish also took part in a training session for school and community members on how best to care for, maintain and utilize the panels.
