Weekly learning-feeding program motivates interest to learn and consequently raises literacy of young children from poor families.
PP Linda Palattao and PP Beth Sy of RC Holy Spirit RI D3780 observed young children from poor families in the Payatas area as they learn reading and arts skills last Saturday, August 4, 2012. The kids sing and play games and are served food, too, as part of the weekly learning-feeding sessions sponsored by PP Linda. The activities are held at the campus of Elite Business, Science and Technology School owned by the Palattao family. There are up to forty beneficiary children in most sessions. The kids are tutored by volunteer students from the school and from the Rotaract Club of Holy Spirit.
