ROTARY CLUB OF MUMBAI LAKERS SUPPORTING "THE MIDDAY MEAL DISTRICT PROJECT" AND GIRL CHILD EDUCATION AND BUILDING TOILETS. "MIDDAY MEAL PROJECT" by district is a super initiative to provide nutritious vegetarian meals per day to thousands of children. Since last five years, lakers been supporting this District project and this year we are sponsoring for 800 children. The goal for Lakers is to continue to make a difference in the lives of these children. We are even working to help communities understand this transformative fact that by promoting girls education at the individual, family, and community levels. The Girls Empowerment through Education Project is working to improve access to and quality of education for girl child. RCML has supported 120 girls this year. We ensure each girl gets the financial, material and emotional support. We are even supporting district project "SUKHDA" wherein we are sponsoring for building 10 toilets specially for girls.
