A Rotarian of Ulverstone West, District 9830, and her grandson joined a 2018 RAWCS team and spent 20 days in Kenya. The main purpose of the trip was to assist the Umoja Orphanage, with building, painting, planting and general assistance. Mission of the Umoja Orphanage, Kenya-helping children to reach their full potential. Together we can achieve the extraordinary. Founded by Cathy Booth from Queensland on July 30, 2011. Umoja is a non-profit organisation, based in Australia, which is helping to give orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya a second chance at life. Through a holistic care approach, we will empower children and communities to break the cycle of poverty. Umoja Orphanage Kenya is a Project of the Sunrise Rotary Club Bundaberg
