Detailed description
Juan Lacaze is a city in Uruguay with around 13,950 inhabitants. The unemployment rate is very high and many people live in poverty. Around 30% of all children live below the poverty line.
The project is focused on sending used equipment to schools, medical centres, fire brigades, hospitals and institutions caring for physically handicapped people.
The equipment that will be sent to Juan Lacaze comes from a broad range of different institutions, including medical aid/equipment centres and hospitals.
The PCs are second-hand (cleaned and cleared for further use), and will be purchased from second-hand institutions.
One shipment has a runtime of six months (collection of equipment, shipment, administrative work, and distribution.) Several shipments is completed and planned.
This is planned to be a multi-club project, we funding as we are a small club with limited resources.
