The Rotary Club of Panaji conducted a Vocational Training program on Stitching & Tailoring for women in the month of August'16.
This workshop was held in collaboration with the Industrial Handicraft & Handloom Co-op Society Ltd., at their premises situated at Patto, Panaji.
In this workshop we trained 12 women, in the skill of tailoring and stitching. The workshop was conducted over a period of 10 working days for 4 hours a day. This workshop was organized, so as to impart a skill to the women who can thereafter earn a living for themselves and be financially independent. Post the training, the trainees were given a Sewing Machine each which were sponsored by the EDC Ltd.,Goa, so that they can get start their own tailoring establishment.
