The Project object is to provide 360 to 400 persons water for drinking and house hold purpose belonging to BELOW POVERTY LINE families with overhead tank capacity of 36000Ltrs..The beneficiaries formed a Registered Society under the Government of Kerala Societies Act and it is known as “DEVAMRUTHAM” SAMOOHYA VIKASANA SAMITHI which translated means “NECTAR” OF GOD SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY. For the beneficiaries the water received after 16 years during the draught prone months of October to June is like Nectar from God and the local People’s representative compared Rotary to God in his public speech. Attached scanned copies of New paper reports. The project has improved the living standards of the beneficiaries. The girl students can now go to school on a regular basis since they don’t have to worry about water and other household activities.
