The project is about facing an appalling problem: the situation of 500,000 children in the world. The invisible children…UNICEF declares that unless some actions are undertaken soon, in 2020 the number of these children will reach a million. Valeria Galletti, the President of the RC Roma Cassia, has decided to face this challenge to fight the disgrace of shadow children. Often they have no family because of wars, accidents and famine. The shadow children end up swelling the ranks of child soldiers and victims of pedo-pornography. The Rotary Club Roma Cassia together with other clubs worldwide promote this project aimed at children’s recovery, literacy and protection from abuse and violence. In 2010 Roberto Giua has received words of encouragement from Cardinal Bergoglio, now Pope Francis. The goal is to raise awareness in order to create “one, hundred, thousand…” children homes.
