Rotaract Club Putignano organized an afternoon for children of non-profit foundation Saverio De Bellis(educational community for minors)of Castellana Grotte (Bari,ITALY).The Rotaractors who accompanied the children at Masseria"Serra dell'Isola",seventeenth-century historic estate surrounded by olive trees in Puglia.Here Mrs.Rita revealed how people lived in '600,traditions,daily activities in the fields and in the court.The children are then ventured into a laboratory of nutrition education through the dough and the baking of bread,bagels and focaccia with riddles and played the recognition of trees and plants in the external environment led by Marica Mancini.At the end of botanical tour,the inviting smell of cakes,bread and freshly baked bagels,drew all the participants who have completed this great afternoon enjoying the delicacies prepared by themselves.This initiative has allowed the children to spend an intense afternoon to discover our historical culture,cuisine and environment.
