Rotaract Putignano had the great opportunity to be led for the"Abbey Madonna della Scala"and reflect on the figure of St.Benedict and on"The Man,the Christian,the Monk ",all thanks to the invaluable help of Don Giulio Meiattini osb.The complex of the Abbey is the tangible proof of sacrifice and perseverance of man,and in this case the first monks settled there,able to accomplish great works.The Abbey is surrounded by pine trees and consists of a church of the XI century,the monastic complex and another church in romanesque style.Inside is active restoration laboratory of the book,there is a library with more than40,000volumes and the Monastery is also home editions of "La Scala".The term"Monk"is derived from the greek "monacos"which in turn derives from"monos"meaning"one"or one who conjures up the image of the unit.The monk search and find the inner center of gravity in Jesus Christ,who is a real point of conjunction and the only thing necessary.-->www.racclubputignano.altervista.org
