If you could restore the eyesight of another human being for only $10.00 and give them their productive life back, would you be interested? Club #24 supports the activities of Charity Vision, Inc. and wishes to partner with them to expand their operations in India. In a worldwide effort to raise awareness and to raise funds to purchase the surgical packets utilized to perform eye surgeries, we have entered a race car in The Mongolian Rally, a well known, well established 10,000 mile race from London to Mongolia being held in July 2013. The race car, driven by Rotarians & sponsors, will travel from Los Angeles to New York prior to being shipped to London for the formal race. Our objective is to raise awareness that cataracts are the leading cause of blindness in the world and to raise funds to support a Rotary Global Grant to purchase surgical packets. Millions of individuals are blind & don't need to be. We see this as an ideal way for Rotarians to serve humanity! We are in. Are you?
