First priority is to support acceptable living standards and sustainable development. The integrated approach should empower people to stay in their native areas. This is the guideline of the project for integrated village development in Ethiopia, operated by more than 20 Clubs in the German District 1870 in close cooperation with the RC Addis Ababa Bole. We encouraged the inhabitants of the village to express their own priorities in order to improve the quality of livelihoods in their village. It was not our interest to set something new from outside. People should be convinced to improve their lives by themselves and find their own way out of the trap of poverty. Together with the Angolela people we worked out a duties catalogue consisting of numerous items, every single suitable for a veritable Matching Grant Project. We started the realization phase of various project modules after having finished the conceptual work early in 2011. Knowledge transfer and education are the central fields.
