Description détaillée
The school is located in rural St. James, Jamaica, and is run by a private charity. It has about 30 profoundly deaf students aged 3 and up. Most of them board at the school. The usual academic subjects are taught. We decided to assist with the skills training offered to the older students, so that they can become financially independent once they leave school. We have donated two industrial machines to the school and plan to provide cutting tables, sergers and other equipment. The project is partially sponsored by the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Club, District 5810. Food for the Poor donated the industrial machines.
