Description détaillée
The idea was to get both Rotarians and Prospective Rotarians together and help the food bank put various foods and dry goods in boxes which were distributed to the needy in our community. There were 100 people working a two hour shift. The food bank considered the event to be a “huge success”, as we were able to pack 26,975 pounds of food, which equated to 22,479 meals. It took a collaboration of 40 Rotarians from Park Cities; 5 Rotarians from Fair Park; 32 from Hill Crest High School Interact Club; 18 Guests of Rotarians; and 5 US Trust volunteers. We had 5 sponsors for the event, each contributing $250. All were Rotarians from Park Cities that put their logo on the T-Shirts we made for the event. A club member was there taking pictures and video and posting them on various social media sites.
