Indeed, children often emulate their parents by reflecting back whatever they do or say. Through Rotary-in-Action, however, we want to make sure that our children can take positive, powerful action to make our world a better place to live in by instilling the U.N. spirit in their hearts this early! Seeing the innocent smiles in the faces of the school children – kindergarten to grade six - of the Bagong Ilog Elementary School, Pasig City, as they joyfully join the parade, together with their loving parents, in the celebration of the United Nations Day last October 28, 2019 would lead one to conclude that the school indeed, as a social institution, strongly helps in the formation of the character of children. If at all, at an early age, the United Nations spirit is being instilled in the heart of a child. Like any proud mother, Rotarian Angela Eval, current Secretary of the Rotary Club of Manila Fort Santiago, accompanied her kindergarten son, Caleb Betangelo Eval, throughout the parade
