Rotary Club of Springfield Robotics Development

This project supports a school pipeline robotics program in two Springfield Va. Schools.

The robotics project continues and sustains the awareness, learning, advancement and literacy in robotics as well as social skills, increased education in engineering, problem solving and leadership in both schools. The robotics program supports the students training classes throughout the school year, materials, and preparation for regional competition at the US Patent and Trade Office in Northern Virginia.The beneficiaries are 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and educators whom established a working STEM knowledge of robotics, computer skills and teamwork utilizing the LEGO Robotics development program. The impact to participating students was; 1. Increased technology, math and computer skills, awareness and application. 2. Furthered the development of communications and teamwork skills toward common goals in a diverse environment.
