The Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Maynila launched one of its tree planting initiatives for this Rotary year under the leadership of its Champion President, Jennifer de Guia- Moreno, with the project title "Roots for Trees- a tree planting and plant donation project" last July 13, 2019. It was co-hosted by Champion Presidents of RC Pasay Cyber City, RC Manila Premier, RC Manila JP Laurel Malacanang, and RC University District Manila. The activity was held at Dr. Celedonio Salvador Elementary School, a public elementary school in Paco, Manila, with more than 1,000 students, in coordination with its Parents- Teachers Association.
