A relief operation in 4 evacuation centers in Sto. Tomas, Calaca, General Trias and Giling.
In times of calamities, Filipinos are known as resilient people and the trait of helping one another to give light and hope to those in need are evident in these calamities. In this recent tragic volcano eruption in Taal, many people were displaced in their houses and a lockdown in some towns and areas around Taal volcano. Most of them were in the evacuation centers or private homes. Again, we always give service above self by giving time to reached them out, and donated some goods to help them sustain and feel better in this challenging moment. Our club has donated mostly funded by the club members, in cash and kind like Sabrina Parungao, the daughter of Rotarian Susan Parungao, donated 900 pieces of good quality bras as part of the hygiene kit for the evacuees in different locations in Batangas. Cash donated by members was used to buy rice, hygiene kits, water, noodles, canned goods. Each member tried to help voluntarily and joyfully in their heart to share their blessings.
