The diabetes screening carried out were blood Glucose estimation, weight, height and BMI. People were counseled after the screening by Medical Laboratory Scientists. Nutritional/ Dietetic counseling were also done by Dietitians. Some food supplements were distributed to the diabetic people. There was lecture on diabetes and our environment. the lecture was on definition of diabetes, causes, care of diabetic patients, prevention and best feeding practice of a diabetes. More than 300 people were in attendance and about 230 people were screened. This project was another opportunity for my club to showcase rotary in my community. We collaborated with Diabetic Association of Nigeria, Pharmacy Plus limited and Diabetic care International to achieve this project
