Project impact: How the project will help the community after the project ends
We will provide 258 micro-credit loans for boreholes, Microflush toilets, farms and small businesses to improve the economic strength of two communities. The project budget is $158,480 to impact more than 25,527 lives. Most of the communities impacted are in the Obuasi area near Kumasi, Ghana. Our grant was submitted in January 2022.
The Rotary Club of Premier eClub of Montreal Canada will be the international Rotary Club and Marc Mauger will be the primary international partner. Rotary Clubs can contribute toward this project to get matching funds from their district and The Rotary Foundation. Past-President Abdul Mumin Tahir of Obuasi Rotary Club will be the leader of the host Rotary Club
Sustainability: How the benefits of the project will continue afterward
Ghana clean water project GG 22-29944 will drill thirty new boreholes and build 65 Microflush toilets in Ghana. Our goal is to provide communities with clean water and sanitation in poor communities in the Ashanti and Central Regions of Ghana. We will implement small-town water systems for each community.
