Detailed description
Mothers and children In Bgy. Tumaway were among those who felt much difficulty in coping up with the aftermath of Taal Volcano eruption. Mothers were faced with concerns on how to properly take care of their family ensuring their health especially at the time that they are leaving in their temporary shelters. Children were also risked to getting sick as the environment is not yet suitable for everyday living. Thru the joint efforts of the 3 Rotary clubs, their Project C.H.A.M.P.S. equipped both mothers and children with basic and relevant health information. Rotarian members who are registered nurses facilitated a Maternal and Child Health session which includes breastfeeding and proper way of taking care of lactating children. Food supplements were also given to breastfeeding mothers and lactating children and toddlers.
