Detailed description

Apo Dutse area of federal capital territory Abuja is a predominantly rural area with alot of low income group whose main source of income is petty trading. The women in this community mostly engage in petty trading to meet up their daily and family needs. Most of the these women are bread winners of their respective families either because there husband are financially incapable or they are widowed. Rotary club of Apo in district 9125 Nigeria came together to bring these women together and formed them into a cooperative society and empower them through giving them micro credits for trading. We also educated them on little business success secrets to ensure the micro credits granted them are put into judicious use for the growth of their business. The impact of the project is been felt immediately in several house holds in the community as they can provide a better life for members of their family.
