Rotarians and the community gathered donations of stuffed teddy bears to take to Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, to be given to patients staying there at the time of the donation. Rotary Club of Yoakum successfully delivered 116 bears on Monday, February 10. This hospital averages 100 children per day, but the average increases during a busy "flu season". The hospital currently has 189 beds, and they are working to expand the facility to meet their ever growing needs. The volunteers there are happy to find each bear a new home and bring joy to their patients.
