Detailed description
The stormy weather may have caused heavy traffic and major flooding in the streets but this did not deter Rotarian from District 3800 in their desire to be better equipped with skills and knowledge needed to lead their respective clubs more effectively and motivate their communities to live up to Rotary’s motto, "Service Above Self".
Guided by the adage that the art of communication is the language of leadership, RI D3800, through the RC Marikina North, conducted a very successful and meaningful training seminar on the subjects of Public Speaking and Rotary Leadership. The seminar aims to enhance the essential leadership skills of Rotarian in order to maintain an efficient, effective, and motivated club, as well as to improve their ability to communicate, especially in dealing with "stage fright" or, in more technical terms, "communication apprehension".
The turnout of the event was phenomenal. About 182 participants representing 68 of the clubs in the district.
