Detailed description

Two Rotary clubs are linked together in an international project to bring hope and dignity, the opportunity to work, and an improved quality of life to thousands of underprivileged disabled children and adults in Southern Africa's poorest areas. Working with church groups, hospitals, care centres and the Association for the Physically Disabled, Northcliff Rotary Club are distributing second-hand wheelchairs and mobility aids which are collected in the U.K. and sent out to them by the Rotary Club of Rushmoor. A network of Rotary clubs is now established throughout Southern Africa to ensure that all the poorest areas are covered. To date over 30,000 wheelchairs have been delivered together with thousands of other mobility aids.
