The Mercy Ships Fundraising Project has galvanised the generosity of Rotary, capturing imaginations and hearts: 30 Rotary Districts and 328 clubs across the UK and the world from Oklahoma to Seoul have found a common cause to support Mercy Ships, and proved once again that “Rotary Connects the World”. Global Mercy will begin its many years of humanitarian service in Liberia, and while much needed health care will be provided on board the ship, Mercy Ships will work with the local community to improve medical facilities and build capacity there, as well as other countries in the future.
