Water systems Development in the villages of Mhezi, Mtunguja and Chani, Tanzania, Africa

Mhezi Water System. 1. To establish operational water supply and delivery system at Mhezi and the near by villages. 2. Training: a. Mhezi water board and area officials in water supply management. The water board has been established by the District water engineer and Rotary club of Same consisting of members chosen by the community. b. Operators in technical water system maintenance. The operators will be trained on how to maintain the water system and record keeping. c. Villagers in water use focusing on project sustainability. The community will be trained on better use of water, hygiene and sanitation, value of water system equipment, and ownership of the project. 3. Improve livelihood of house-holds (impact assessment of food security, health, education and economic stability) through access to clean and safe water.
