Establishment of Libraries in Government schools by donating books for classes 1 to 10 and Atlas.
Rotary Club Vizag Hill View (Dist.3020) and other Rotary Clubs of Vizag established libraries in 54 government schools by distributing 20000 books worth Rs.32.00 lakhs or USD 53,000 in Visakhapatnam, India. Mr. Ganta Srinivas Rao, Hon'ble Minister of Education (HRD), Govt of AP and DG Dr. Mohan Prasad GV, (Dist. 3020) were the chief guests for the morning and evening sessions respectively. The project was supported by RI Dist 3230 (Chennai) who arranged the books. The books are course materials for classes I to X, including Atlas. All the principals of the beneficiary schools gathered at a function organised for the purpose and were handed over the books through the Chief Guests. Rtn. Atul Rathi, President of RC Vizag Hill View, Rtn. P.Sridhar DLCC Dist.3230 and Rtn. AV Ranga Rao DLCC Dist.3020 also spoke on the occasion. The Hon'ble Minister was so overwhelmed that he promised all help to Rotary in fulfilling their objective of Happy Schools through T-E-A-C-H initiative.
