Detailed description

We train Suicide Intervention First Aid Treatment Providers. We have trained more than 100 providers at a cost in total of AUD $24,000.00 to date. With volunteer labor including 3 Government Employees (2x Education Queensland and 1 x Justice and AG Dept). we can train a provider for AUD $80.00 with the Commercial Cost being $500.00 to $1000.00. We have had at least 80 interventions. Professional persons above mentioned indicate that they are better equipment by the standard of training provided. Gladstone Clubs have assisted by participating in a Joint Clubs Fund Raiser. Gladstone South Club contributed AUD $4000.00. We purpose promoting the PWC to the District with a view to obtaining a DDF grant. We will spend AUD$6000.00 in the next 6 months further training our 3 trainers. We will award our three trainers a PHF. In Australia with a population of 30 million we have a million people who fall within the category of those with Suicidal ideation and those with suicidal behavior.
