Detailed description

Poor patients who cannot pay for Caesarian sections for delivery are provided with financial assistance to cover their operation costs. The Maternal Child Health Training Institute (MCHTI) is a Government referral hospital for maternity and child health, local in Azimpur, Dhaka serving the poorest of the urban population. As this is a referral hospital, many of the patients who come here need emergency operations, namely Caesarian sections for delivery. Many of the patients are so poor that they cannot pay for the surgical sutures and other medicine and implements necessary for the operation which, of course in done free of cost. Through this project RC Dhaka North has been supporting patients with financial help to buy the implements since 2005-6. This is an ongoing project of the Club, this every year an amount of Tk. 60,000.00 (Sixty Thousand) only was given to 24 such patients undergoing caesarian sections at MCHTI.
