Taguig City conducted a choral contest as part of the 41st National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week through its Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office. Rotary helped in sending participants, supported with food and allowance of some of the participants
RC Aseana supported some Choir groups from the city's different barangays as exhibited their talents and artistic styles as they sang and performed folk songs from Filipino.
The event, with the theme "Lokal na Pamahalaan: Kabalikat sa Pagtupad ng mga Karapatan ng mga Taong may Kapansanan," was held at Lakeshore Hall in Barangay Lower Bicutan last July 23, Tuesday.
One of the objectives of the administration of Mayor Lino Cayetano is to make Taguig a benchmark for the effective delivery of social services that involves PWD programs and initiatives. As Rotary supports the city program by providing assistance to the PWDs in terms of food and allowance as well as transportation.
