Zabibu Centre is a training and rehabilitation institution for girls with disabilities
Zabibu Centre opened its doors in April 2005 in Ruiru town, as a vocational training and rehabilitation institution for girls with disabilities. The premises was rented and after sometime, it was realized that the environment was not ideal for such a group of learners. It was them moved to the current site in January 2006 and Mr and Mrs Wagema we have since transferred the 3acre piece of land to Zabibu Centre.
Since then, it has grown to carter for learners with special needs and disabilities from all over the country. 4 Programs are running concurrently, ECD, Primary, High school girls and girl’s vocational training and rehabilitation.
Learners include those with physical disabilities, mental retardation but educable, multiple disabilities, orphans and vulnerable, infected and affected by HIV Aids, IDP's, Rescued from Early marriages and FGM as well as regular learners.
Some of the employees re also persons with disabilities.
