Bicycle Ambulances for Malawi (Chilaweni)

Providing Bicycle Ambulance for the Clinic we have built in Chilaweni, Malawi.

Completed

Detailed description

The initial funding for three bicycle ambulances in Malawi is to test the viability. This will be followed by eight more if they prove a success. There are 11 villages surrounding the clinic which was opened earlier this year. Transport is difficult in this area and fuel in short supply. Patients, including pregnant women have been walking for 5 or six kilometres to reach the clinic. We plan that the bicycle ambulance will alleviate this suffering.
