Support of the local Community has always been at the fore front of Rotary Club of Amman West projects when it started its “Meals on Wheels” 17 years ago. This year the project changed its name to “Packages on Wheels” as the project was mainly distributing packages to support the poor in different local communities in Jordan during the Holy month of Ramadan. Support was provided to the project by the Rotary Club of Amman Petra and the Rotaract Club of Amman West in both cash and volunteer hours.
The 360 packages containing basic foodstuffs have been distributed in the first two weeks of the Holy month of Ramadan to 5 locations in Jordan from Mukhaia (in the North of Jordan) to Salt and Hiteen Camp (in the central Jordan) to Tafeyleh , Al-Shuneh and Ghor Safi (in the South) and extreme South (Aqaba).
