Detailed description
This project started in September 2007 when some travelers from Canada visited the remote village of Ndandini in Eastern Kenya. They promised to help get water for the villagers. The initial objective has expanded and succeeded.
With the help of many individuals, many Rotary Clubs, and two TRF matching and Global Grants over $200,000 has been raised towards this project.
Not only has a borehole been drilled producing over 19,000 litres of water per hour - a tractor and water bowser has now been provided to deliver the clean water to six schools in the area and to provide closer access to the clean water for over 3000 villagers.
See a 13 minute summary video on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3wowjcweLk . Or google Ndandini to find lots of entires about our project.
