Detailed description

PRID Ken Collins joined the Maternal & Child Health Action Group in late 2015. Learning that India has one of the highest mortality rates in the world, he organised a Team of 1 Obstetrician & 1 Midwife to travel with him to Raipur, India to carry out a feasibility study in Sept. 2016 with the aid of a TRF District Grant. In Feb. 2017, Team Leader PRID Ken, 2 x Gynaecologists & 2 x Midwives travelled to Raipur, D. 3261, to train local health workers in obstetrical practices to help reduce the high mortality rate of mothers and babies due to childbirth.
