Rotary club of Mumbai Lakers organised a cancer check up camp on 20th Nov for Sex workers at St. Anthone Girls High School, J Boman Behram Marg, Bellasis Road, Dalal Estate, Kamathipura, Mumbai by Cancer Patients Aid Association.
RCML strongly believes that “Cancer is manageable, when detected early”. Awareness followed by early detection improves the chances of battling this dreaded disease. Early diagnosis of cancer has been the core objective.
RCML wants to address the causes of the exponential increase in cancer cases, primarily due to lack of knowledge and awareness of cancer. There was a General physician, Gynaecologist, and Blood check was done which are necessary test were conducted.
Over 88 women were srcreened for the same. 64 of the 100 people screened requires follow up and will be further assessed and assisted by CPAA
