Detailed description

ON JANUARY 16, 2020, the Province of Occidental Mindoro experienced a power supply blackout due to the sudden outage by the supplier to the local electric cooperative. As part of fact-finding effort and exploration of possible solutions to the issue of electricity in the province, Rotary Club of San Jose Champion President Aniceta Diana Apigo-Tayag, in her capacity as a Senior Member of Sangguniang Panlalawigan, initiated a public hearing in aid of legislation to seek an explanation from the power supplier and to gather input from concerned agency for possible solutions to the problem. The issue of power supplu is vital to the quality of life of residents and the overall economic development of Occidental Mindoro, an issue that concerns Rotarians in the province and given particular attention by Hon. Apigo-Tayag as Chairman of the provincial legislative committee on Trade and Industry.
