Community needs, project impact, and sustainability

Community assessment: How the project team learned about the community’s needs

A TEAM OF ROTARIANS SAW A TV NEWS THAT GOVERNMENT OF INDIA IS ABOUT TO START VACCINATING CHILDREN AGED BETWEEN 2 TO 15 YRS. WE CARRIED OUT SURVEYS ON WHAT IS THE STATUS OF INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THIS. SURPRISINGLY! THERE WAS NO CENTER DEDICATED FOR VACCINATING CHILDREN. WE GOT IN TOUCH WITH GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL CHIEF OFFICER DR RAJESH KINI AND INTERVIEWED AND DISCUSSED THE IDEA OF HAVING A SEPERATE PLACE TO SYSTEMATICALLY VACCINATE CHILDREN. ONLY AFTER THE HOSPITAL AUTHORITIES ASSURED THAT THEY WILL WELL M AINTAIN THE PLACE IF ROTARY CAN DO SOMETHING IN THIS MATTER. WE CALLED A MEETING AND FINALISED THE PROJECT COLLECTED FUNDS FROM OUR OWN ROTARY MEMBERS AND STARTED AND COMPLETED THE PROJECT WITH THE FOCUS ON SEEMLESS PROCESS OF VACCINATION FOR CHILDREN OF AGE 2 YRS TO 15 YRS.

-

Project impact: How the project will help the community after the project ends

THE MOMENT GOVERNMENT STARTS VACCINATING CHILDREN WE WILL BE FULLY PREPARED TO SYSTEMATICALLY HANDLE THE CROWD AS THE SET UP IS ISOLATED FORM HOSPITAL OPD THUS AVOIDING CHAOS AND CONFUSION AMOUNG PEOPLE. THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF FLOW FOR REGISTRATION FOR VACCINATION AND GETTING THE JAB HAS BEEN MADE PEOPLE FRIENDLY.

-

Sustainability: How the benefits of the project will continue afterward

THIS IS A 100% SUSTAINABLE PROJECT AS THE TALUKA HOSPITAL AUTHORITIES HAVE AGREED TO FUND FOR THE MAINTAINANCE OF THE PREMISES. A VIGILANCE COMMITTEE HAS BEEN FORMED UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF RTN DR ASHIK HEGDE FOR CONTINUOUS MONITOING OF THE PROJECT AS IT FUNCTIONS. ALL THE EQUIPMENTS FOR DESIGNING AND FABRICATING THE CENTER WAS PURCHASED LOCALLY AT DISCOUNTED PRICES. OVERALL UTMAOST CARE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO GIVE CHILREN A COMFORTABLE AND A SEEMLESS EXPERIENCE OF GETTING THE COVID VACCINE.
