Partnering with the Municipality of Ciudad Sandino (ALCISA), our Club donated emergency hygiene and cleaning supplies to 17 essential service centers for low-income families to make it possible for those centers to safely stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic and to continue providing necessary services. The centers included the home for at-risk pregnant women, free day care centers, the center for people with special needs, senior citizen's center, adult education center, sporting centers, and cultural center, among others. Each center was given 2 gallons of concentrated bleach, 2 gallons of isopropyl alcohol, 2 gallons of alcohol gel, 3 spray bottles, and 4 bars of soap. Ciudad Sandino is a city of 180,000 and is one of the poorest urban areas in Nicaragua.
