Humanitarian olive harvest

Humanitarian olive harvest

On November 10th, the Rotary Club of Kastela organized a humanitarian olive harvest in place Najevi near the city Marina, in the olive grove of Nediljko Najev, member of the Rotary club of Kastela. Nediljko had an interesting lecture on Mount Drid where once used to be an old Illyrian fortress and later the seat of the old Croatian county. The event was attended by friends from RC Varazdin South, RC Maksimir, RC Split New, RC Split, RC Solin and RC Kastela. Part of the funds collected by selling olive oil is intended for the residents of Mir Center in Rudine. It is interesting that two rotarians were introduced to olive harvesting, both called Hans and both are Dutch. A member of the RC Kaštela Pero Pilic took care of the fun after the harvest.
